Parking - A reminder |
||
|
Dear Resident, From a number of patrols on the lower part of the Hartshead Estate over the past weeks, it has been noticed that there are quite a few vehicles that have been parked inconsiderately along the highway* obstructing pedestrian access and creating unnecessary hazards for road users and we have had to speak to a number of residents regarding their parking. Parking in such a manner not only inconveniences pedestrians, including those with mobility challenges, but also poses a significant risk to public safety. Pavements and adjoining footpaths are designed to ensure the safe movement of both vehicles and pedestrians. When vehicles block these routes, pedestrians are forced into the road, increasing the likelihood of accidents and endangering lives. • Pedestrian access must remain unobstructed at all times. • Failure to comply may result in enforcement action, including fines, penalty points, or removal of the offending vehicle. We urge drivers to act responsibly, park only in designated areas, and remain mindful of the impact their actions have on others. Your cooperation is essential in ensuring that our community remains safe, accessible, and respectful of all road users. | ||
